Hi,

Has anyone been to Belize? I've heard that it has an emerging property market and that it is a good place to visit. Not a conventional holiday but have heard that it can get a little dangerous at night but during the day its really good.

Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Thanks Very Happy

Well for those of you are interested about Belize but don't know alot about what its like, I've found some information you may find interesting although it is a few years old .
You will have to scroll past the rather long table of contents but this is because it has lots of information all in different sections including things like :
5 reasons to visit Belize
5 reasons not to visit Belize
Best festivals & events
10 frequently asked questions on Belize
10 facts to know before you come
10 most romantic places to stay
5 must see maya sites

You may have to check elsewhere about the contacts, as the information is now a few years old and there may be more modern hotels built and there mays be changes regarding buses and other things ......but if you are looking just to get an idea about going to Belize....then this has loads of stuff to give you ideas.

I hope you find it interesting.

Belize has its share of archaeological and national parks, marine and nature reserves, wildlife sanctuaries. You will find diving, snorkeling, fishing, hiking, and exploring nature at its best. Stayed at a really nice resort called Belizean Dreams, and really it's like a dream come true.

I think I read two or three reviews about the resort Belizean Dreams a short while ago & they also said what a great place it was.

Mugging is a risk to travellers especially in Belize City and other urban and tourist centres. Muggings can occur at any time: day or night. Avoid dark alleys, keep valuables out of sight, do not wear jewellery. Where possible you should travel in groups. You should use a qualified guide for trips off the beaten track.

Belize is a beautiful and fascinating country of North America. It is so rich in cultural and historical heritage and visitor's attraction and destination. It has excellent sightseeing and scenic beauty to behold travelers around the world.
