Hi, wonder if anyone can help, one of my life-time ambitions is to see the northern lights. I know it's a bit hit and miss depending on weather conditions etc, but has anybody actually managed to do it [apart from Joanna Lumley, lol!] Also, not being the richest of people, and knowing that anywhere far north is expensive, any tips for reasonably priced travel to the Arctic circle? Failing that, anybody know next week's lottery numbers?

What a natural phenomenon the Northern Lights are! I would love to go and see them.

Just been looking at a few sites; dicover-the-world and iceland2go. Both of which seem to have reasonable trips on them. Just make sure they are atol/abta registered, I think they both are.

You have really got me thinking about this now, what a thing to and see!

Should I go at the weekend, I'll let you know how it goes!
