I am going to Riga in February for 2 days and want to know if anybody can tell me what are the must-see/do things for me? I am a single female traveller so want to avoid any 'dodgy' areas too, please. Is it safe at night? I am staying near the Bus Station apparently. any tips greatly appreciated

I know a lady who I think has lived either in Riga or just outside. I'll see if she can help & get back to you in a couple of days. Hopefully someone else on here might have the answers to your question.

Have spoken to a couple of ladies that are from Riga and they both think that the area around the bus station is fine during the day but not really that nice in the evening and "old riga " would be more pleasant. They say there is quite alot of activity and noise in the area late at night.

The Riga is a good destination to visit. It has a lot of attractions and activities for visitors. There are numerous places to see in the city. The Powder Tower and Daugava River are good places to explore.

I am going to spend few days in Riga in the beginning of October.
I will probably stay in Anabella Hotel http://www.world-hotel-reservations.com/Hotel_AnnabellaHotels_en/ or Man Tess Hotel http://www.world-hotel-reservations.com/Man_-tess_HotelHotels_en/
Can you provide me with information about those hotels ( location, surroundings) if you have any remarks I will appreciate your help.
