Sanur is the most exotic place to visit and stay. It is certainly a romantic and a mystic place to stay simply a dream land to visit. It is a good decision and i surely recommend you to stay in Sanur and enjoy the lovely beach and surrounding.

It depends on what you are looking for, there are many places in Bali which can offer different things. Kuta for example has all the night life, nice beech, depending on when you go. I went during rainy season and the beach becomes full with rubbish at times!

I would also recommend Ubud in the centre of bali has lots of character and completely different to the south, cooking classes and feeding monkeys etc...

Then there is also Lovina which is further north, you can do a volcano climb and watch sunrise which is spectacular. My girlfriend and I also did a dophin cruise in a tiny little hand made canoe, we were the only two in the boat and the dolphins jump practically next to the boat. The accommodation in Bali is great too, cheap hotels but nicely decorated, definately a good place to go, i hope you enjoy your time.
